Bookstore suggestions in San Diego and LA

Hi! My family is traveling out to San Diego and LA in a couple of weeks, and I’m always on the lookout for a local bookstore to visit. Any recommendations? Thanks!

In LA, Vroman’s is definitely fun to visit (it’s in Pasadena). In LA itself, The Last Bookstore is a huge new & used downtown bookstore with lots of fun bookish art, Skylight Books and Chevalier’s are smaller ones but still have great inventories, and Book Soup is a fun one on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.
