Anne’s thoughts

I’ve always loved Andrew Wyeth’s iconic painting Christina’s World, so when I discovered Christina Baker Kline was writing a novel from the perspective of the famous Christina who appears in the painting? YES PLEASE. I expect some of you will adore this; some will be underwhelmed. I thought this was a great book. I walked away feeling like I had “seen” Christina. She lived a difficult life in a difficult time. She had so many disappointments and yet she continued on. I want to travel to Maine and visit the house and the museum and learn a lot more about that time and area.

I must say that I had read Orphan Train when…[Read more]
